Bagsy means calling dibs. BagsyThat helps people display items for sale, request a reservation and keep an order record. Each shop belongs to its seller.

You arrange the purchase, payment and collection with that seller. BagsyThat does not collect, hold, process or independently verify payments or refunds for listed items, inspect goods or guarantee buyers or sellers.

Read the description, check condition and availability, and ask the seller questions before committing. Use the questions/WhatsApp contact shown by the shop. Never share your M-Pesa PIN.

Use Find an item to search names, descriptions or categories. Category buttons narrow the list and show how many items are available. The shop shows items still for sale, including items temporarily held in another checkout. Empty categories are hidden.

Select View full details to read the full description, formatting and availability date. Click a photo to enlarge it; use arrows or thumbnails for additional photos.

The deposit is item-specific: No deposit means nothing is due at checkout; Pay in full means the whole price is due; other percentages show the required deposit. Your basket shows the combined total, deposit and balance.

Items already bagsied or sold leave the available-items view. An item in another checkout stays visible but cannot be added until its hold is released. Adding to a basket by itself does not reserve it.

1. Select Add to basket for each item, then open Basket.
2. Enter your name and a contact phone number. Remember my name and phone is optional and applies to that shop on this browser; use Forget my details to remove it.
3. Continue to M-Pesa and collection, or Continue to collection details for a no-deposit basket. Items are held for 15 minutes while you finish checkout.
4. If payment is required, send at least the displayed deposit directly to the seller’s M-Pesa payment number. You can copy the number and amount. The WhatsApp questions number may be different: use the payment number for M-Pesa.
5. Enter the transaction code and the amount actually sent. Choose a collection date on or after all items are available, accept the buyer terms and submit Bagsy these items. Do not pay again merely because you see an input error; correct the field or contact the seller.
6. Keep the order number, transaction message and private tracking link from your confirmation. The seller must check the payment and confirm the bagsy.

If checkout expires, review your basket before trying again. If you already sent money but cannot submit, contact the seller with your transaction details. A transfer does not submit the order for you.

Some listings show Contact owner instead of Add to basket, for example a vehicle or an item paid by bank transfer. Contact the seller to agree viewing, price, payment method and collection.

These items cannot enter online M-Pesa checkout. The seller can record the agreed sale as an offsite order and share its private tracking link. Do not assume an enquiry has reserved the item.

Open your private tracking link, or select Track order on the original shop. Enter your order number and the same phone number used at checkout. Order numbers must be looked up in the shop where you ordered.

• Bagsied · awaiting review: the seller needs to review the reservation and check any submitted payment.
• Balance due: a confirmed order still has an outstanding balance, even if its items have already been collected.
• Awaiting collection: the balance is settled and one or more active items still need collection.
• Collected: all active items are collected. Check the balance and any refund due as well.
• Cancelled: the order has been cancelled. Check any refund position with the seller.

Next action identifies whether the buyer or seller needs to act. Refresh status to see updates; the page is not a live payment feed. Keep the private link confidential: anyone with it can view that order.

The order summary shows items, agreed prices, discounts, seller-recorded payments/refunds and the current balance. Ask the seller to confirm the amount and payment arrangement before paying further, especially while your initial payment is awaiting review.

Use Seller payment details on the tracking page. The questions number is for contact; it may not be the M-Pesa payment number. Pay by the agreed method directly to the seller and ask them to record receipt.

Arrange collection using the displayed contact person and WhatsApp number. Collection is your responsibility. The seller can record partial pickups and who collected each item.

Use Print / Save as PDF in the order summary for a copy. It is an order summary, not an invoice or independently verified proof of payment.

If a form stops you, read its warning, check the highlighted field and correct the code, amount or date. A reservation code needs 8–20 letters/numbers; use the exact code from your transaction message. Whole KSh amounts must meet the displayed deposit. If money was already sent, contact the seller rather than paying twice.

For item questions, unavailable goods, pickup changes, cancellation, disputes or refunds, contact the seller. A refund must be arranged and paid by the seller; recording it on BagsyThat does not transfer money.
